To a great extent, the Firm's success can be credited to a collaborative methodology in which project issues are collectively defined, evaluated, and developed. Because of this firm-wide collaborative process, the partners are intimately involved with the firm's projects. While one partner serves as Partner-in-Charge and lead designer of a particular project working directly with the client, the other partner provides support as design critic and advisor to the work as the project is advanced. Coupled with this effort is a Project Associate who manages the work and nurtures the initial design intent through development, documentation and construction. In addition, each project is assigned a Project Architect who complements the team and is responsible for the quality of the documentation. The Partner-in-Charge, Project Associate and Project Architect, as well as team members are committed to the project from its commencement to its completion. The partners' care and concern for each project has helped the firm build a reputation for an unusually high level of partner/client interaction. This commitment to excellence and availability has created an atmosphere of responsiveness throughout the firm. Due to individualized attention to its projects, the firm has received numerous awards for excellence in design, historic preservation, and adaptive reuse.
